Gu Panizza is a junior majoring in Business Administration. His previous professional experiences include internships at Wve Labs, a technology development company, and pharmaceutical multinational Walgreens Boots Alliance. Next summer, he will be working as a Summer Associate at The Boston Consulting Group’s Los Angeles office. Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Gu enjoys watching international soccer and NBA basketball and hopes to pursue a career in management consulting upon graduation.
Alyssa Lam is a junior studying Business Administration with a double minor in Nutrition & Health Promotion and Dance. She has previously interned with Johnson and Johnson's finance team and at Herman Miller in Hong Kong as part of the USC Winslow-Maxwell program. In addition to TCG, she is the Chief of Staff of the Marshall Business Student Government and a Marshall Student Ambassador. In her free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and practicing yoga. She will be joining Deloitte Consulting in their Los Angeles office this upcoming summer as a Strategy & Operations Summer Scholar.
Madeline Zheng is a senior majoring in Philosophy and Applied & Computational Mathematics. Outside of TCG, she is currently working on a thesis in moral philosophy, and she is involved in Dornsife Ambassadors as well as the Security and Political Economy Lab. Her favorite things include David Foster Wallace, exploring new ideas and places, and ice cream. In terms of professional experience, she has worked at a data analytics startup, NBCUniversal, and PwC. Most recently, she interned at Bain & Company in San Francisco, where she will be returning full-time after graduation.
Anav Sharma is a senior studying Business Administration with a minor in Mathematical Finance and a specialization in Applied Analytics. Outside of class, he is an active member of Los Angeles Community Impact, a Marshall Student Ambassador, and a debater for the Trojan Debate squad. Anav has accrued professional experience at both an information services and research analytics firm called Frontier Strategy Group and at an aerospace focused venture capital fund called Starburst. This past summer, he interned at Bain & Company in LA, where he will be returning full-time after graduation. When he is not busy, Anav likes to attend hip-hop concerts, read about political theory, and enjoy the outdoors.
Jack Strauss is a senior double majoring in Business Administration and Chinese. He has previously worked at Acer Computers in Taipei, Taiwan and most recently at Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, California. On campus, Jack serves on the Executive Board of the Marshall Student Ambassadors and has competed on a number of business case competition teams. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching USC football, and traveling. Jack studied abroad in Shanghai for the Spring 2018 semester and this summer, he interned at Bain & Company in their Los Angeles office, where he will be returning full-time after graduation.
Juliette Bolea is a senior majoring in Business Administration with a double minor in International Relations and Law and Society. This past summer, Juliette interned as an investment banking analyst at Lazard’s NYC offices, where she will be returning full-time. Previously, she worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch's NYC offices in their Global Banking & Markets division. On campus, she has served as Co-President of the Trojan Investing Society, a Marshall Investment Banking Peer Career Advisor, a teacher’s assistant for the Global Leadership Program, an intern for the Dean of USC's Annenberg School of Journalism and Communication, and a Marshall Student Ambassador. Juliette went abroad through USC to Spain, China and Taiwan. In her free time, she enjoys running marathons, hiking, going to yoga and attending concerts.
Terek Rutherford is a senior majoring in Business Administration. Last summer, he interned at Janus Capital on their Global Fixed Income Team. On campus, Terek is a manager on the Undergraduate Student Investment Fund and was previously the Co-President of the Trojan Investing Society. In his free time, he enjoys reading non-fiction, playing tennis, skiing, and learning about international relations. Upon graduation, Terek hopes to pursue a career in buy-side finance.
Ben Dugger is a junior studying Business with a concentration in Finance. This past summer, he interned in LA as a summer analyst at Wilshire Associates, while next summer, he will be working in Morgan Stanley's investment banking division in San Francisco. Ben's interests outside of business include Atlanta sports and USC football. Next semester, he will be studying abroad in Barcelona. His primary hobbies range from playing golf to backpacking to visiting the beach. Upon graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in investment banking or sports analytics.
Andy is a junior majoring in Business Administration with minors in Sports Media Studies and Cinematic Arts. He has previously worked in market research for a small tech start-up in Taiwan, and this past summer he worked as a business analyst intern at U.S. Bank in Minneapolis. Next summer, he will be working as a Summer Analyst for Cornerstone Research in their Los Angeles office. On campus, he is a sports broadcaster for KXSC Radio, a Marshall Student Ambassador, and a member of the Sports Business Administration. He will be studying abroad in Budapest during the spring 2019 semester. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, reading long-form journalism, watching movies, and going to concerts. After graduation, Andy hopes to pursue a career in consulting.
Matthew Lee is a junior majoring in Business Administration with minors in Mathematics and Human Security and Geospatial Intelligence. On campus, he serves as one of the Co-Directors of Trojan Investing Society's Leaders Program, Co-President of Moneythink USC, and a Marshall Student Ambassador. Previously, he has worked for a startup that provides college students with a job-searching avenue, a mobile app development company, and Plaza Bank's Project Management department. In his free time, Matthew enjoys watching NBA basketball, attending concerts, and producing music. This past summer, he worked for PwC as a technology consulting intern.
Kurun is a junior double majoring in Business Administration and Neuroscience. On campus, he is involved as the Chief Technology Office of Moneythink USC and the Director of Membership of the Inter Health Council. Previously, he has performed public health research in Guatemala and Uganda, in addition to working as a non-governmental delegate to the 71st World Health Assembly in Geneva and a health and benefits consulting intern at Mercer. In his free time, Kurun enjoys cooking and bartending, as well as traveling and going to music festivals with friends. This coming summer, he will be working as a Summer Associate in The Boston Consulting Group’s LA office.
Jane Wang is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science with minors in Product Design and Applied Computer Security. On campus, Jane is involved in Design for America, Delta Sigma Pi, and Applab. This past summer, she interned with the International Office at Keck Medical School helping them redesign their website and create internal client applications. Currently, she is working on creating a social app and designing web pages for fun. In her free time, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and solving puzzles. Upon graduation, Jane hopes to pursue a career in technology and design.
Blake Birmingham is a sophomore majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering with minors in Entrepreneurship and Applied Analytics. Outside of class, he is a Project Manager for Engineers Without Borders where he is working to build a water collection and filtration system for an underdeveloped community in Guatemala. Additionally, Blake is a part of the Los Angeles Community Impact as well as Trojan Venture Partners. Last summer, he interned at a management consulting firm in Madrid, and this upcoming summer, he will be working in Technology Consulting at PwC. In his free time, Blake enjoys playing and watching basketball, going to the beach, and discussing theology. Blake hopes to pursue a job in either management consulting or engineering after graduation.
Allison Westley is a sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Future Cinema. In the past, she has worked as a research intern at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute studying the regenerative capabilities of the axolotl pancreas, and as an analyst at Intrepid Investment Bankers, a middle-market M&A bank. Outside of class, she serves on the executive board of Trojan Venture Partners and works as a Strikeforce Fellow with entrepreneur Peter Diamandis. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, sampling every salmon dish in Los Angeles, and exploring the city. Allison aims to complement her technical engineering background with strong business knowledge in order to found her own biotech startup in the future.
Ryan Storgard is a sophomore studying Biological Sciences. He has conducted research at UCSD Moores Cancer Center and is currently part of the Kuhn lab at USC Michelson Center for Convergent Biosciences, utilizing single-cell analytics to investigate the therapeutic applications of genomic instability markers in metastatic prostate cancers. Last summer, he coordinated patient recruitment, screening, and data management for the clinical trial of a dermatological medical device. Currently, Ryan serves as the co-President of Trojan Investing Society. In his free time, he enjoys watching films, snorkeling, and studying international politics. After graduation, Ryan hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career in the biotechnology industry.
Paul Kaster is a junior majoring in Computer Science and Business Administration and minoring in Applied Computer Security. In the past, Paul started and ran his own eCommerce business, Crooked Branch Studio, which retailed high-end wooden bow ties. Last summer, Paul studied abroad in Spain and the summer prior, he lived in Peru designing and exporting a line of alpaca wool neck ties. Outside of school, he enjoys studying Spanish, hiking, photography, and playing frisbee. In addition to his involvement in TCG, Paul currently leads the sponsorships for the USC Photography Club and is looking to pursue a career in consulting upon graduation.
Kent Shiu is a sophomore majoring in Business Administration with a minor in applied analytics and statistics. On campus, he works for the Full Time MBA program office. He is also involved with the Trojan Investing Society and the Chinese Student Association. In his free time, Kent enjoys night hikes, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. After graduation, Kent hopes to pursue a career in the finance or consulting industry.
